PEOPLE WHO’VE STAYED BACKHOME… NIC SPARASCI, U.K.
I watched the Disney film “UP” & realized that I had to seize my chance & come travelling.
My most memorable travel experience so far has been an 8 hour bus ride in a 12-seat minivan on dirt roads in rural Cambodia. The interesting bit… the bus had 27 passengers.
My most memorable Malaysian experience was eating mee kari in Taiping, without encountering a single non-Malaysian all day, and everyone being so friendly.
What I love about BackHome is… Everything! Its one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.  Worth coming back for.

OUR LATEST PROJECT
THE LOKL is located smack in the middle of KL’s historic and financial district.  There are lots of cafes and restaurants around, but very few neighbourhood joints where people can just sit and hang out.  The LOKL hopes to change all that.  We want to be a focal point for the community by helping to promote our neighbours.  Ask for recommendations of places to see, what to do, or even where to eat – and we’ll gladly help out.
We serve freshly brewed coffee, hot hearty sandwiches, and a carefully curated collection of pastries.  Besides espressos and lattes, we also do coffee the local way – buttery local blends hand-filtered and served with sticky, sweet condensed milk.  Our sandwiches are big and hearty – because us locals are used to having big hearty bowls of noodles or rice for lunch.
More updates on the way!
