BEAUTIFUL ABANDONED APARTMENTS
For those of you walking towards Bukit Bintang from BackHome - you’ll notice these run down apartments. My dream is to be able to buy over this and convert it into a boutique hotel. I think one or two of the apartments are still occupied.
There’s also a squatter area right behind these houses. As kids, we would walk in, and go to a kedai runcit (small sundry shop) and buy snacks.
Interesting story - if you’re facing the apartments, and look to the far left, you’ll see one of the apartments without a roof. It’s currently a car wash now. In the early 90s (if I remember correctly) - someone hanged himself there. I believe he was a gambler and owed some money to loan sharks. No one has lived there since. It’s got some interesting graffiti on the walls, though.
