These are our German guests from the University of Regensburg, who stayed with us for a week in October.
The cup they’re holding is the SIFE World Cup, held in KL this year.
SIFE stands for Students In Free Enterprise. It’s an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities, while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders.
At each World Cup event, students gather from all around the world to present their projects, and also share their culture.
Our friends won the World Cup with their project that enables the mentally disabled to have jobs through water bottle recycling.
What they loved about Malaysia…
“The beaches on Pangkor Island, the view of the Twin Towers from Sky Bar, and the street food at Jalan Alor.”
Most memorable experience in KL?
“Becoming SIFE World champions, of course!”
What they loved about BackHome…
“The staff, the architecture, and the “we” feeling.”
Congratulations guys, and have a great time changing the world.
